Jayda Escobar (she/her) was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and began exploring all genres of dance at the age of nine. Jayda continued her studies at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, enrolled in her Fourth year and receiving her BFA in Dance. She was able to have an opportunity to perform repertoire works by Victor Quijada, and Paul Taylor as well as new creations by Brian Brooks, T. Lang, and Joy Davis. Additional performance opportunities included works by Crystal Pite, and James Viveiros among many others. Jayda furthered her training at summer intensives including SpringBoard Danse Montréal, Gibney Company summer intensive, TheTLCollective, and Bodytraffic. She is a recipient of the Jan Veen Trust and Thrive Scholarship from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Jayda is thrilled to continue stretching herself in new directions.
